Sawyer brings 'Primetime' to her hometown

In June 2006, Maryhurst was featured on an ABC Primetime special hosted by Diane Sawyer entitled, "Calling All Angels." The episode focused on foster children in America, with a special interest in children whose backgrounds and behaviors present exceptional challenges. The Primetime crew came to our campus for several weeks and followed the day-to-day lives of our children and staff. In the end, Primetime told the stories of three children in particular, focusing on their courageous battles to overcome traumatic histories of abuse and neglect. Maryhurst was honored to be featured as a place of healing and hope for some of our nation's most vulnerable children.
