Some of the girls at Maryhurst learned to finger knit and crochet this week, which will come in handy during the next couple of cold months! These useful skills will help them exercise their minds and focus their thoughts as they make it through their journey of hope. This is one of the many creative ways that Maryhurst works with the female youth of the community to build stronger, more peaceful foundations for their future.
You don’t have to be perfect to change a life forever — you just have to be able to love.
Please consider completing these pre-service training hours at the Maryhurst campus. Completing the program qualifies you to become a Foster Parent to one of the ~8,500 kids in Kentucky living in impermanence after being removed from their families.
