Halloween Fun @ Maryhurst 2025

October was a month full of fun, spooky activities for the the kids in our programs!

We look forward to October every year here at Maryhurst's residential campus, because it's the beginning of several months of fun transformations of our cottages and staff buildings.

This year, the kids had a chance to be transported to hallways and buildings on fun themes: "Under the Sea," "Beach Vacation," "Through the Decades," and "Monsters Inc."

Not only that, but we invited friends and supporters from around our community to set up a Trunk or Treat evening, where the kids toured around and got sweets from Trunks themed around Louisville athletics, ninja turtles, Frankenstein, and so many more! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the evening special for the kiddos!

Here's what it's all about. When walking around Trunk-or-Treating, one kiddo remarked quietly to a Maryhurst employee, "All these people came out here just for us?" By volunteering with us, you're sending a message to the young survivors in our care: that they MATTER, that folks care about them, and that folks are rooting for their success.

If you'd like to volunteer for future opportunities, you can always reach out to our Community Engagement Manager, Gabriella, at gklapheke@maryhurst.org
